Winter 2010 Play Discussion
Okay. Start throwing them in here. Please remember that you should only recommend a show that you have read and researched. Don't forget to sign your name to your post. :)
what are we doing for this winter I heard that possibly nuncrackers was not happening.. if it is who is directing.. i have been in 5 shows in a row lol.. there is only one guy part in that.
Nuncrackers is on our schedule to do, but there has been some discussion of changing it. But, this is not up for discussion. Next year's show is. Please confine you comments to next year's winter show.
Christmas Belles - by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten Dramatists Play Service - $75 per performance Full length comedy
cast - 4 men, 7 women flexible set
A church Christmas program spins hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.
It's Christmas time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters - Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye - are not in a festive mood. The Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program is spiraling into chaos. The feuding sisters find a way to pull together to present a Christmas program the Fayro citizens will never forget. Their holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!
Found this on the internet - it may have possibilities.
I like the idea of doing Scrooge again. It is always well received and we don't have to pay royalties, so our chances of making money on it are much better.
I kind of like the idea of doing Scrooge again; it's been a while since we've done it. I just don't like to do it too often. For me, it gets a little stale. I am not, however, a fan of writing music or parts that are not in the script. It is completely unprofessional.

ReplyDeleteJust checking to see if I can post.
ReplyDeleteI think it might be time for Scrooge again. The last tiime we did it we took the chorus out of the pit and it worked very well.
