I really like the idea of this being a dinner theatre so I'd like to suggest that we continue doing them in this position. Don't forget to sign your post. :)
My first suggestion for a dinner theatre is "The Real Inspector Hound." It is a one-act comedy farce in the style of an Agatha Christie who-dun-it. The cast calls for 6 men and 3 women. It can be viewed on Google Books. Just go to Google Books and search for Inspector Hound.
It is a single interior set and is very easy to produce.

I have read this play (and own a copy as a matter of fact) and feel it might be a little too cerebral for Ross County. That and one acts just don't pull their weight give me significant pause...
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of doing a dinner theater, too. Is Mousetrap not a good fit for this venue? I know we were going to do that this fall but switched to The Boys Next Door. However, I thought Mousetrap was a good idea.

I agree with the dinner theater venue, and would like to just say that I think we should not dismiss something outright simply because it may be too cerebral for Ross County. We also have to keep in mind that we are in existence not only to provide theater to the community, but also as an outlet for our members to perform. If it would be something we would enjoy doing, I think we should consider it and perhaps not underestimate our Ross County audience. (I know, I know....)
ReplyDeleteThe Fall play has been chosen. "Mousetrap" will be directed by Kathy Brooks.
